Vanessa Angel was born in Sussex, England, on November 10, 1966. She went to the Heathfield High School for Girls in Harrow, and she was soon discovered by well known talent agent Eileen Ford. Vanessa Angel then became an international model, which required her to relocate to New York. Even while she was just starting out, she had already appeared in the covers of prestigious magazines such as Cosmopolitan and Vogue.
In 1985, Vanessa Angel shifted from modeling to acting, with a part in the comedy Spies Like Us. In the movie, she plays a soldier for the Soviet Strategic Missiles Forces, which required her to appear just in underwear for many scenes. Vanessa Angel decided to pursue and study acting under teacher Sondra Lee, and also became a member of The Actor’s Studio in New York. She also studied acting under Frank Corsaro. Soon, she was cast in other films including Kings of New York in 1990, Sleep with Me in 1994, Kingpin in 1996, and Kissing a Fool in 1998, among others. She is also best remembered for starring on the television series Weird Science in 1994.
Vanessa Angel has been able to portray a variety of characters, and she has been successful in the comedy genre. She has also appeared in a number of television shows, including The Equalizer, Baywatch, On the Air, Raven, Jackie Collins’ Lady Boss, Reasonable Doubts, Melrose Place, Murder, She Wrote; The Cover Girl Murders, Time Trax, Veronica’s Closet, Partners, Stargate, The Division, and the more recent Criminal Intent in 2005 and Blind Ambition in 2007. Vanessa Angel also appeared in an Entourage episode “I love you too” in 2005 as herself.
